The transactions are exported as a manual journal in draft status. For each booking, one manual journal is created. The amounts are gross amounts incl. tax.

Example 2: Accommodation for two nights with breakfast. Pay with credit card.

Total costs 100 GBP. 80 GBP accommodation and 20 GBP breakfast. 50 GBP payed in advanced with Master Card. The rest, 50 GBP, payed by check out with American Express Card.

On 14.08.2020 the liabilities accounts were balanced with the revenue accounts. The last booking is the paying of the remaining amount of 50 GBP with a credit card.

Special case - import only revenue transactions

If you want to import only revenue transactions to Xero, you can do it with the following "workaround":

You must map all apaleo accounts except the revenue accounts into the same xero account. (In the case above, the "Receivables", "American Credit Card Payment", "Credit Card Payment" and "Liabilities" must be mapped into the same xero account.)

In the "Xero organisation config" you must set the option/checkbox "Don't send transactions with the same debitory and creditory account".
